Introducing the Emax "Pagoda II" by design by Maarten Baert. This thoughtfully designed circular polarized antenna utilizes a 3 tiered 1 oz copper PCBs to replace the typically fragile wire elements. The antenna only weighs 8 gm and will include the optional heavy duty polyolefin heat shrink to help protect PCB from damage. The Pagoda II has a very good axial ratio measurement <1.3 and SWR of 1.2. It will work great as either TX or RX antenna and for best performance we recommend using it as matched set. They will be sold in a set of 2 antennas with the option for Stubby at 50mm and Standard 85mm lengths. Initial sets will be RHCP but LHCP sets will soon follow.
Materials: To abide by Maarten Baert's design specs, we used genuine FR4 PCB material at 1.0mm thickness and 35 µm (1 oz) of copper (Not the regular 1.6mm thickness). Since the antenna was designed around the FR4 material, the thickness is absolutely crucial for efficient functionality.
