EMAX ES9054II high voltage magnetic encoder digital servo
EMAX / PRECISION SERVO

Control that returns to center.

The EMAX ES9054II combines contactless magnetic-encoder feedback, an all-metal case and gear train, and 6.0–8.4V operation for fast, repeatable control in RC helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft and robotic mechanisms.

02 / Magnetic encoder feedback

Precision without a contact-wear feedback track.

Instead of relying on a conventional contact potentiometer for position sensing, the ES9054II uses a non-contact magnetic encoder. It is designed to maintain consistent centering through vibration and long operating cycles while reducing wear-related position changes.

Conceptual illustration of EMAX ES9054II magnetic encoder positioning and repeatable return to center
01

Repeatable centering

Precise position feedback supports consistent return-to-center behavior for demanding control loops.

02

Vibration-ready sensing

Contactless feedback is well suited to helicopter and aircraft environments with persistent vibration.

03

Long-cycle confidence

No sliding feedback contact means one less wear surface in repeated-motion applications.

03 / Application fit

One standard-size servo. Multiple precision-control roles.

RC helicopter tailFast correction speed and stable centering for tail-control applications.
Fixed-wing aircraftStrong holding torque for larger primary control surfaces.
Robotic joints180° or full-range 360° positional control for articulated mechanisms.
Custom automationStandard PWM input and all-metal construction for repeated motion.
04 / Specifications and fitment

Check the electrical and mechanical interface before ordering.

  • Confirm 23T horn compatibility
  • Confirm the servo bay accepts a 40 × 20 mm standard footprint
  • Confirm receiver/BEC voltage does not exceed 8.4V
  • Confirm the power path can support servo peak current
  • Center electronically before installing the horn
  • Set travel endpoints to avoid mechanical binding
Important: “360° positional control” is not the same as uncontrolled continuous rotation. The controller must support the required pulse range and position mode.
05 / Compatibility FAQ

Answers before installation.

Will it work with a standard PWM receiver?

Yes. The ES9054II uses a JR connector and standard 500–2500μs PWM control. Confirm the receiver or controller supports the travel range required by your setup.

Can I run it from a 2S LiPo system?

The 6.0–8.4V rating covers the nominal and fully charged voltage of a 2S LiPo system. The receiver, BEC, wiring and every connected device must also be rated for the selected voltage and current demand.

What is the practical benefit of the magnetic encoder?

The contactless position sensor avoids the sliding feedback contact used in a conventional potentiometer. That supports consistent centering under vibration and repeated motion while reducing one source of wear-related drift.

Is the ES9054II brushless?

No. The verified product specification identifies a brushed motor with digital control, a magnetic encoder, metal gears and an all-metal housing.

What is included?

One ES9054II servo, a servo-horn and mounting-hardware kit, and a user instruction manual.

Installation note: Published torque, speed and current values are reference specifications measured under defined test conditions. Actual response, holding performance, temperature and current draw depend on supply voltage, linkage geometry, mechanical load, endpoint settings, airflow and power-system capability. Avoid binding the linkage or stalling the servo for extended periods.
